KC FARMの「かぼちゃ」 と 「比内地鶏、たまご」
The KC Farm is located in central Illinois. More ‘farmette’ than farm, this is a small diversified farm that uses sustainable farming methods, including only natural fertilizers and non-chemical weed and insect control whenever possible.
Kendall and Christine spend many hours every week hand-tending the crops. A flock of free-range chickens helps control pests. The soil is kept rich with composted manure, fish and vegetable matter. The fish are invasive species such as the ‘flying carp’. Such fish are detrimental to the waterways but make excellent fertilizer. Good, healthy soil is vital to producing tasty crops.
When you purchase our vegetables you are buying locally grown food and you can be sure you are buying produce that is fresh and field ripened.
Most importantly, we eat what we grow, so quality and taste is our number one concern.
